Fish constantly excrete both dissolved waste (ammonia) and solid waste. Unless this is removed from the water, it will quickly accumulate and pollute the aquarium, resulting in sick fish and a dirty environment. TetraTec IN plus filters work both biologically and mechanically to remove dissolved ammonia and solid waste, thereby keeping the aquarium environment suitable for your fish. TetraTec IN filters also re-oxygenate water as it is recirculated, further improving conditions. A key feature of the IN plus filters are the ease with which they are maintained. There is no need to remove the entire filter, as all components can be quickly and easily removed in-situ. In addition, the flow rate can easily be adjusted, the direction of the flow can be altered, and the filter sponge comes in two segments so only one need be replaced or cleaned at a time. IN1000 – Suitable for aquariums up to 200 litres. IN800 – Suitable for aquariums up to 150 litres. IN600 – Suitable for aquariums up to 100 litres. IN400 – Suitable for aquariums up to 60 litres. * all interior filters now have two filter chambers * one filter sponge can always remain in the filter chamber when cleaning – minimising the loss of useful bacteria * the main body of the filter remains in the aquarium while filter sponges and the impeller are removed for cleaning * flow adjuster allows regulation of flow rate * outlet nozzle can be rotated 180° * controllable Venturi system provides additional oxygen supply by blowing air bubbles into the tank * simple to fix in place with adhesive suckers * TÜV/GS tested, CE certified – safety and reliability assured * 2-year guarantee * biological filter sponge and active charcoal filter available as spare parts Technical Specifications Product Performance Size of Aquarium Power Consumption Number of Double Filter Chambers Tetratec IN 400 plus 200 – 400 l/h 30 – 60 Ltr 7 watt 1 Tetratec IN 600 plus 300 – 600 l/h 50 – 100 Ltr 8 watt 2 Tetratec IN 800 plus 400 – 800 l/h 80 – 150 Ltr 12 watt 1 Tetratec IN 1000 plus 500 – 1000 l/h 120 – 200 Ltr 14 watt 2 How it WorksTetraTec IN plus filters contain either two or four foam sponges, through which aquarium water is recirculated. This sponge acts as both a mechanical filter, straining out particles of solid waste, and as a biological filter. The biological stage involves friendly bacteria that colonise the sponge, and which break down ammonal into nitrite, and then into nitrate. As water is pumped out of the filter, it draws in air through a ´venturi´ attachment, thus helping to re-oxygenate the water. Unlike many other filters, the venturi fitting on the IN plus filters causes virtually no loss of flow. How to UseSimply attach your IN plus filter to the side of the aquarium using the suckers provided, ensuring that it is submerged. The flow rates can be adjusted with the flow-control dial, and the flow can be redirected with the rotating outlet. To clean the sponge, simply wash it in a bowl of aquarium water, but NOT under the tap. Tap water will kill the friendly filter bacteria. Wash or replace one sponge at a time. Always read the instructions carefully before use.
